Hi I'm Caoilfhinn and I'm a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Limerick, Ireland. I work through a variety of mediums such as printmaking, photography, poetry and performance, usually exploring themes of comfort and introspection.
My work often begins with a feeling, a setting, or fragments of words that I've jotted down. I'm interested in textures, light and dark, and how landscapes can be used as tools to express the overwhelming mental landscape, and provide an outlet for release.
In 2023, I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Printmaking and Contemporary Practice from the Limerick School of Art and Design. This is a photo of me rolling up some ink during my 3 month internship at Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice last October :)
I am a member of the Limerick Printmakers where I print and teach after school kids art classes and I'm an associate member of Spacecraft Studios. In 2024, I co-founded the Limerick Zine Fest! an annual festival celebrating DIY culture and self-publishing.
